Coronavirus-The Extension for Filing Accounts With Companies House

Companies House Has Allowed Extension of Three Months for Companies to File Their Accounts Due to the Coronavirus Urgency

If your company has been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and you will not be able to file your accounts on time then Companies House has recognised your directorial urgency and made the right announcement for you.

The Companies House has announced to extend its deadline for three months. And you can apply for the extension from 25th March 2020 for filing your accounts.

The global pandemic may have affected your company’s available resources and due to that reason you may miss the statutory deadline for filing your annual accounts. To arrange the three-month extension date you have to apply online before the deadline date.

Your company may not be eligible for filing a deadline if you have already shortened your accounting reference period or extended your filing deadline. To reassure, contact Companies House or contact Accountants in London for more information.

If your company misses the filing deadline without applying for an extension then your company will be automatically imposed for late filing penalties.

As the current situation is dynamic and could take any turn any time, the Companies House will be treating each appeal on a case-by-case basis.
